Dip into an Evening of Food & Fun to benefits PAWS Pets!

On Thursday, October 27th and September 30, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, The Melting Pot in Darien, CT is hosting a fundraiser to benefit PAWS!


They have created a special prix fixe menu for the evening which includes appetizer, salad, entree and dessert for $45.00 per person. For each prix fixe dinner ordered, The Melting Pot will donate $10 to PAWS! How sweet is that?! For those of you who haven't visited The Melting Pot before it's a cool and fun fondue restaurant with a great food, a fun atmosphere, and great staff!

          
The special prix fixe menu includes:
-Cheese Fondues
Fondue á la France, Pesto Walnut Swiss or Garlic & Herb Cheddar (served with breads, apples and fresh vegetables)

-Salad
Salad Niçiose or Caesar Salad

-Entrée
Filet Mignon, Peppercorn Crusted NY Strip Steak, Chicken Provençal, Roasted Garlic White Shrimp and Ratatouille & Goat Cheese Ravioli  (served with our fresh vegetables and dipping sauces)

-Chocolate Fondues
White Chocolate Crème Brûlée, Flaming Turtle or Dark Chocolate topped with Chambord

Pet Photo Day and Small Dog Meet Up!

On October 2nd we are having Geoffrey Tischman, animal photographer, come to Best Friends again! Photo sessions will be every 30mintues please call us at 203 849 1010 sign up for a time slot in advance to guarantee a session!

There is a $25 sitting fee due in advance which will be donated to Bully Breed Rescue. Photo packages vary in price and can be purchased for as low as $40 ( includes Set of 2 - 5x7 prints OR set of 4 - 4x5 prints ). Call today or stop in to sign up for your photo session!

We are also offering a Small Dog Only Meet Up Group on October 2nd from 11am-1pm. Monthly Meet Up Groups gives dogs a chance to play and socialize with other small dogs while parents can meet new pet parents! Dexter Needs A Home!

Dexter is with Bully Breed Rescue and has been living at Best Friends since June!

 

Take one look at that face, and tell me you wouldn't want to wake up to him every morning? Dexter will wake you up and put a smile on your face! He is such a special silly boy, with a wonderful goofy personality. It is impossible to be in a bad mood around Dexter! He is just such a silly guy, who finds the smallest pleasures in life. Dexter will teach you to love the simple things, and not sweat the big things! Dexter is amazing, and deserves a home of his own! Dexter is a 2 yr old boy who is looking for his forever home! Dexter was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter in NYC. Dexter is a stunning blue brindle. He has one bright blue eye, which makes him look very unique! He has big ,bear-like, goofy paws, and a heart of gold! Dexter is a total gem, who does well with other dogs. He LOVES people and just wants to be loved and cuddled. Dexter is such a lovable goof, that will keep you laughing for hours. He is floppy just like a puppy! He is more than willing to turn on his back for a belly rub! Small Dog Meet Up Group!

On October 4th we are hosting a small dog meet up group! If you have a small dog that is social and looking to meet new doggy and humane friends please join us! Parents stay for meet up groups. The group runs from 11-1, please be on time. All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distember and Bordatella vaccinations.
