Dexter Needs A Home!

Dexter is with Bully Breed Rescue and has been living at Best Friends since June!

 

Take one look at that face, and tell me you wouldn't want to wake up to him every morning? Dexter will wake you up and put a smile on your face! He is such a special silly boy, with a wonderful goofy personality. It is impossible to be in a bad mood around Dexter! He is just such a silly guy, who finds the smallest pleasures in life. Dexter will teach you to love the simple things, and not sweat the big things! Dexter is amazing, and deserves a home of his own! Dexter is a 2 yr old boy who is looking for his forever home! Dexter was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter in NYC. Dexter is a stunning blue brindle. He has one bright blue eye, which makes him look very unique! He has big ,bear-like, goofy paws, and a heart of gold! Dexter is a total gem, who does well with other dogs. He LOVES people and just wants to be loved and cuddled. Dexter is such a lovable goof, that will keep you laughing for hours. He is floppy just like a puppy! He is more than willing to turn on his back for a belly rub! Small Dog Meet Up Group!

On October 4th we are hosting a small dog meet up group! If you have a small dog that is social and looking to meet new doggy and humane friends please join us! Parents stay for meet up groups. The group runs from 11-1, please be on time. All dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Distember and Bordatella vaccinations.

Bruce is a stunning boy who is looking for a forever home.Bruce has been living at Best Friends since April.  Bruce is the perfect mixture of brawn and brains. He is beautiful, and one smart boy! He is amazingly well behaved, loves other dogs, and loves kids!!!

Wild Animal Wednesday! Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey Results Are In!

January 8th-9th volunteers from all over Connecticut participated in the 2010 Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey.  The temperature that weekend was absolutely frigid, so a big thanks to all of the volunteers!  85 sites were surveyed across the state documenting the presence of wintering bald eagles in our state.  The results have been talleyed and 108 bald eagles were counted!  67 adults and 41 immatures were observed.  According to the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection "The Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey is not a complete census of the entire wintering population in the state, but an index of the species' use of the state, which can be compared year to year."  To learn more about Connecticut's wildlife visit http://www.ct.gov/dep

We will be celebrating Wheatie's Birthday in Small Camp this Wednesday August 11th!  In his honor we will also be having a pool party- so make sure to drop your doggies off on Wednesday for fun fun fun!
