PAWS 5th Annual "Wine & Howl" Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser!

PAWS is joining Merritt Wines of Norwalk to showcase a collection of wines in our 5th Annual "Wine & Howl" Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser! This event brings together great wine, food, a silent auction and a great feeling inside as you help homeless animals find a second chance at a new life.


The wines offered will suit any taste and budget and will make excellent gifts or even just to keep for yourself. The tasting will be held on Saturday Dec. 4th, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The location is the United Church of Rowayton, 210 Rowayton Ave., Norwalk, CT.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served

Door Prizes

Tickets are just $25 each if purchased in advance. Click HERE for Wine Tasting Tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the event for $30 each. In addition to raising funds through ticket sales and the silent auction, 15% of the purchase price of all wines ordered at the event will be donated to PAWS!

Siberian Husky for adoption!

This exquisite, 5 year old, female Siberian Husky longs for a family to call her very own. Gizmo has had a rough time adjusting to shelter life, as she’s a very sensitive girl. She dreams of being in a home where she can have lots of fun time outside with her humans, running in the yard, lounging in the grass, romping in the snow, etc… Gizmo is looking for an adopter who will take her for walks and spend plenty of time with her. She’s not a solitary type of pooch. Her ideal adopter will be someone who is dog-savvy and who is willing to put in the time, training, and consistency Gizmo will need in order to feel secure and loved in her new home. Gizmo is petite for her breed, weighing in at 35 pounds. She is looking for a home where she will be an only pet, please. Dip into an Evening of Food & Fun to benefits PAWS Pets!

On Thursday, October 27th and September 30, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, The Melting Pot in Darien, CT is hosting a fundraiser to benefit PAWS!


They have created a special prix fixe menu for the evening which includes appetizer, salad, entree and dessert for $45.00 per person. For each prix fixe dinner ordered, The Melting Pot will donate $10 to PAWS! How sweet is that?! For those of you who haven't visited The Melting Pot before it's a cool and fun fondue restaurant with a great food, a fun atmosphere, and great staff!

          
The special prix fixe menu includes:
-Cheese Fondues
Fondue á la France, Pesto Walnut Swiss or Garlic & Herb Cheddar (served with breads, apples and fresh vegetables)

-Salad
Salad Niçiose or Caesar Salad

-Entrée
Filet Mignon, Peppercorn Crusted NY Strip Steak, Chicken Provençal, Roasted Garlic White Shrimp and Ratatouille & Goat Cheese Ravioli  (served with our fresh vegetables and dipping sauces)

Help Support Our Local Shelter! Paws' 3rd Annual Bark in the Park Dog Walk!

It’s time for Paws' 3rd Annual Bark in the Park Dog Walk! This important event helps to raise much-needed funds to support the programs and services we provide to homeless animals in our community on a daily basis.

On Sunday September 19th, 2010 (rain or shine!) you and your dog can lend a paw to help homeless animals in our community receive the most precious gift of all - a second chance at love. The main event is a dog walk on the scenic wooded trails of Cranbury Park in Norwalk, CT but there are lots of other activities planned such as vendors, demonstrations, food concession, PAWS merchandise for sale and great prizes for those that participate in the walk.

Animal Rescue Site $100,000 Shelter Challenge!

The Animal Rescue Site is hosting a $100,000 Shelter Challenge!  All you have to do is log onto their site and vote for your favorite Animal Shelter!  In our area, Strays and Others and PAWS are both in the running.  Just click on the tab labeled "Shelter Challenge", type in the name of your favorite Shelter and click to vote!  You can vote once per day.  Help the homeless animals in your area by voting for a shelter nearest you! 

PAWS 2nd Annual Bark in the Park!!!

On September 13th, 2009 (Raindate 9/20/09) you and your dog can walk the trails of Cranbury Park while supporting the shelter animals at PAWS in Norwalk, CT. There will be plenty of other activities going on including demonstrations, vendors and more! The event kicks off at 9am.
