Dolly is a sweet as candy! Dolly was surrendered by her owner to a high kill shelter, after he used to make many litters of puppies. But Dolly does not hold a grudge! She is a total love muffin, who LOVES to be touched! She lets out sighs of happiness when she is being pet and scratched. Cupcake is calm, cool, and collected. This laid back girl is looking for someone to pet her head or rub her belly while watching your favorite T.V. show! Dolly walks very well on leash too, and weighs around 60-65 lbs. Dolly is AMAZING with children! She has lived in a home with a 2 yr old boy, and has had many of his friends come over and trip,lay,and use dolly as a head rest! Chester Needs A Home!

This gorgeous 2 year old angel makes us giddy with delight when we are with him. People and other dogs love him as much as he loves them. Hes also a closet genius, Chester is SO eager to learn and please, he looks up occasionally to make sure hes doing what we are asking him to. Chester has beautiful round amber colored eyes, with a coat that feels like silk ,and the CUTEST wrinkles on his snout! We are absolutely besotted by Chester, and wish we could bring him into our own home. Pet Photo Day and Small Dog Meet Up this weekend!

On October 2nd we are having Geoffrey Tischman, animal photographer, come to Best Friends again! Photo sessions will be every 30mintues please call us at 203 849 1010 sign up for a time slot in advance to guarantee a session!

There is a $25 sitting fee due in advance which will be donated to Bully Breed Rescue. Photo packages vary in price and can be purchased for as low as $40 ( includes Set of 2 - 5x7 prints OR set of 4 - 4x5 prints ). Call today or stop in to sign up for your photo session!

We are also offering a Small Dog Only Meet Up Group on October 2nd from 11am-1pm. Monthly Meet Up Groups give dogs a chance to play and socialize with other small dogs while parents can meet new pet parents! All pets must be up to date on Rabies, Distember and Bordatella vaccinations and dog friendly to attend!

He is such a special silly boy, with a wonderful goofy personality. It is impossible to be in a bad mood around Dexter! He is just such a silly guy, who finds the smallest pleasures in life. Dexter will teach you to love the simple things, and not sweat the big things! Dexter is amazing, and deserves a home of his own! Dexter is a 2 yr old boy who is looking for his forever home! Dexter was found as a stray and ended up in a high kill shelter in NYC. Dexter is a stunning blue brindle. He has one bright blue eye, which makes him look very unique! He has big ,bear-like, goofy paws, and a heart of gold! Dexter is a total gem, who does well with other dogs. He LOVES people and just wants to be loved and cuddled. Dexter is such a lovable goof, that will keep you laughing for hours. He is floppy just like a puppy! He is more than willing to turn on his back for a belly rub! Pet Photo Day with Geoff Tishman was a big success! Geoff took some amazing photos and also raised some money and awareness for Bully Breed Rescue. Bully Breed is a small non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pit-bulls. You can check out their website to get more information – currently they are fostering 29 pit-bulls and trying to find homes for them.

Georgie is one of Bully Breed’s available dogs who was at the event. He was rescued from a shelter in Baltimore just one day before he was going to be euthanized. Geoff said "I really love this dog – in addition to being super handsome he was just about the sweetest dog I ever met. Here he is with my daughter Sydney- they were instant buddies!"

Nietche is a coton de tulear who attends Small Doggy Day Camp with us!

Help Save Jaeger!

Jaeger is a beautiful pittie mix boy who is being fosted and rehabilitated by one of our employees Sarah. Jaegar was diagnosed with Heartworm. Bully Breed Rescue was told of an alternative treatement, but it unfortunately only made it worse. Jaeger became very sick this past week and had to be rushed to the vet where he had to be hospitalized due to his deteriorating condition. Jaeger's vet bill is very high, so we have been trying to raise some money to help defray some of the costs. Please consider helping this sweet boy out!!
